Arcom was founded in 2001 after our Founder, Ken Arck, needed a new repeater controller that did a better job with linking and remote base operation than was available on the current market. Ken has been an Amateur Radio Operator since he was a young teenager and four decades of experience in the commercial and Public Safety communications industries. As such, he put his talents to work in designing the RC210 repeater controller in 2001 and, one short year later, started selling them at local Hamfests and trade shows. Within no time, the business expanded to include sales all over the world.
