Architenko Information

ARCHITENKO is a creative studio for urban design and architecture, that has designed a wide range of projects from the small scale of a private home to the large scale of urban design. ARCHITENKO was founded after winning several public competitions in Belgium as Trojka, Menslievendheid, and Rauter. Trojka is a result of an architectural competition organized for young architects in the Flemish Region of Belgium. The concept of Trojka was selected as a winning project out of 60 submissions. At this moment the housing complex is being realized, the whole process can be followed through the blog “Trojka in de Prelaatstraat”. Menslievendheid followed from a public tender organized by the Brussels Regional Housing Company (BGHM/SLRB). The concept was selected as a winning project due to its added value to the context of the city center of Brussels, the structural organization of the building and exceptional layout of the plan. Above all, the housing complex of Menslievenheid will be the highest residential building in Belgium constructed with the state of the art solutions using a timber frame structure. Rauter complex is the result of a public tender that had international attention and was organized by the Brussels Regional Housing Company (BGHM/SLRB). The project is a part of the large rejuvenation process in the neighborhood of Biestebroek, in Anderlecht the Brussels-Capital Region.
