The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is a leading professional membership organization representing 101,000+ members, 20,000+ architecture firms, and 200+ chapters globally. As the largest design organization in the world, AIA is working to transform the day-to-day practice of architecture to achieve a zero-carbon, resilient, healthy, just, and equitable built environment for everyone. AIA's headquarters, the AIA Global Campus for Architecture & Design, is one of the nation’s first major net-zero retrofit projects. The American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) is an independent, 501c3 non-profit and student-run organization that is more than just a club. This grassroots association is a cooperative between thousands of students in North America (of all ages and academic degrees) committed to helping each other. It provides a sense of community and a forum to share differing views. The AIAS is also a professional organization that is the official voice of architecture students.
