The Austrian association ARCHE NOAH (Noah's Ark ) holds one of the largest private organically run collections of cultivated plants in Europe — more than 5,500 varieties of vegetables, grains, herbs, fruits and potatoes that would otherwise be lost. Founded in 1989 in Schiltern, Austria, we save, preserve, research and advocate for seed diversity — and we work to keep seeds a common good. Through our policy work we stand for a fair EU seed legislation, for the right of farmers and gardeners to grow, save and share their own seeds and against patents on seeds and their traits. Together with 17,000 supporters, donors and members and a vibrant network of farmers, conservation gardeners, chefs and partners, we make crop diversity a cause for everyone — from the garden to the boardroom. Seed diversity is the foundation of our food, our climate resilience and our independence. 🌱 Diversity is future. Become part of it. Follow us for seed stories, knowledge from our seed archive, and a clear stance on the future of food. www.arche-noah.at
