Our journey began with a 15-gallon soup kettle, a quest for better beer, and countless batches of homebrew. The passion and personality that began Bell’s continue today through our breweries and Eccentric Café. We continue to grow and evolve, dedicated to our mission; to be deeply rooted in our community, committed to the environment, and brewers of Inspired Beer.
While Bell’s remains independent in many ways, we joined forces with New Belgium Brewing in early 2022.
Dogfish Head has proudly been focused on brewing beers with culinary ingredients outside the Reinheitsgebot since the day it opened as the smallest American brewery 23 years ago. Today Dogfish Head has grown into a top-20 craft brewery and has won numerous awards throughout the years including Wine Enthusiast’s 2015 Brewery of the Year. Today Dogfish Head is a 350+ person company based in Delaware with a brewpub/distillery in Rehoboth Beach, an innovative seafood restaurant in Rehoboth Beach, a beer-themed inn on the harbor in Lewes and a production brewery/distillery in Milton. Dogfish Head currently sells beer in 42 states.
Founded by Greg Koch and Steve Wagner, we've come a long way since opening in San Diego County in 1996. Now the ninth-largest craft brewer in the U.S., we operate two production brewing facilities on both coasts, in Escondido, CA and Richmond, VA. Today, our beer is available in all 50 states and more than 40 different countries. But we don't just brew beer, we also take great pride serving it at our bistros and tap rooms! In addition, we also operate the largest craft-centric beer distribution business in the U.S, serving our home region of Southern California.
It's been an incredible 25 years of following our passion. We can't wait to show you what we have in store for the next 25!
