QAA is the UK's expert quality body for tertiary education. We are an independent charity working to benefit students and higher education, and one of the world’s experts in quality assurance. We are trusted by higher education providers and regulatory bodies to maintain and enhance quality and standards. We ensure that students are involved in all aspects of our work. The Accreditation Organisation of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO) is a quality assurance agency that safeguards the quality of higher education in the Netherlands and Flanders. It’s conclusions underpin the recognition of higher education programmes and ensure valuable degrees for all students.

European Higher Education Area: Transforming education together. The Bologna Process, launched with the Bologna Declaration of 1999, is one of the main voluntary processes at European level, as it is nowadays implemented in 49 States, which define the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).
