AR Capital was founded in 2005 by Leong Wah Kheong, an experienced portfolio manager with over 42 years of investment expertise in equities. During his time at Schroders, Wah Kheong led the successful development and growth of the Asia ex-Japan specialist product and served as Chief Investment Officer for Asia ex-Japan equities from 1996 to 2005. Since our inception, Wah Kheong has been instrumental in the evolution and growth of AR Capital. Under his leadership, the company has transitioned from a single investment strategy to managing four distinct funds, each with its own unique approach. The firm has expanded its focus from Asia ex-Japan to investing with a global perspective, reflecting Wah Kheong’s strategic vision. AR Capital places a strong emphasis on accountability to clients and fostering a positive culture within the firm. The original founding shareholders and senior management team are deeply invested in the funds.
