Aqualis is an intercommunal public company created in January 1999. The company – which had 15 members on the date it was set up – now brings together 28 partners, 20 of which are local councils in the Administrative Arrondissement of Verviers. Aqualis was created out of an awareness and a need. The awareness is of the obvious tourism potential of a region with largely preserved natural areas. The need was that in which Spa´s local authorities found themselves to provide new infrastructures for the thermal baths. Our mission : the promotion of tourism in this area under the name of «Ardenne bleue».
