For over 35 years, British Swim School has been dedicated to saving children's lives through teaching kids as young as three months old. Rita Goldberg, a former national swimmer in Britain, founded British Swim School in 1981 and developed the unique and highly effective teaching methods that are a recognized trademark of the brand alone. Swim England (formerly known as the Amateur Swimming Association) is the national governing body for swimming in England. We help people learn how to swim, enjoy the water safely, and compete in all our sports. Our vision is of a nation swimming and we strive to inspire everyone to enjoy the water in the way that suits them. We work with our partners to create engaging programmes that enable everyone to be active, have fun and stay healthy through swimming. Each month millions of people are able to enjoy swimming, diving, water polo and synchronised swimming because they have been through our renowned Learn to Swim Programme. Ensuring people are safe in the water is of paramount importance to us and so we work closely with partners to keep water safety high on the national agenda. At our heart we are a membership organisation dedicated to supporting our clubs and members to develop and succeed. We maintain the laws of the sport and run world-class national events that are open to all. We also operate a comprehensive range of qualification and education programmes for teachers, coaches, officials and tutors.

Water Babies has an outstanding reputation as the world’s biggest, most professional baby and toddler swimming programme. We welcome over 52,000 children (and their parents/carers) into warm water at over 650 local pools every week. Our sessions progressively develop children’s water skills in line with their physical, mental and emotional development phases. We also offer world-class, once-in-a-lifetime high-resolution photography of babies and toddlers swimming underwater - we're the world's largest producer of underwater baby photography, taking more than 100,000 shots in 2014 - and an online shop featuring delightful, practical swimming accessories. We cover the entire UK through a network of over 56 franchisees, with successful franchises now established in Ireland, Canada, China and The Netherlands – and we’re growing all the time.
