We see education as a part of a lifelong learning and as a school we are here to guide our students on this path. It is Aprendizes mission “to form balanced human beings, to transform the world collaboratively” With strong roots in the Portuguese culture, Aprendizes does as the Portuguese have done for centuries: we look to the world around us. We act to make our society more just, transparent, affectionate and sustainable. Established in 2007, Aprendizes is an inclusive, non-religious, private Portuguese/International school with a nurturing, holistic and student-centred approach to education. We welcome children from preschool (2,5 years) to A-level (18 years). We are a school well known for our warm, informal, loving atmosphere. We believe that a child immersed in a supportive and stimulating environment will naturally acquire mastery in whatever their passions are. We equally value the human formation and the core academic topics and our students well-being, achievements and engagement are always the centre of our attention. Aprendizes is a collection of people sharing common values and purposes. Our staff is carefully chosen for their talents, humility, care, intelligence, humor and capacity for learning. We are currently 300 students (January 2021) and 35 teachers representing over 25 nationalities.
