Appsocado is a mobile game studio with an unusual advantage: our head of studio spent years on the publisher side deciding which games earned user acquisition capital before we built a single game. We applied that evaluation framework across 10 live app store releases with real player data. Each game was designed to answer one question: does this mechanic generate the retention signal a publisher would fund? Nine did not pass the criteria. One did.
