Applied Ocean Sciences (AOS) Information

Applied Ocean Sciences (AOS) is a collective of ocean consultants, powered by our passion to do the highest caliber science, push the boundaries of technology and innovation, and collaborate with academic, government, and nonprofit partners, all for the overarching goal of making the ocean safer, cleaner, and more resilient. AOS was founded in 2019 and currently has a staff of 18 across 6 cities with over half the team holding PhDs. AOS is a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers specializing in ocean physics, chemistry, and biology. AOS scientists have extensive experience in ocean acoustic measurements, modeling, oceanography, marine biology, geospatial science, and science communication. AOS has the fastest, most efficient acoustics computer models and a commitment to driving cutting-edge science and technology through operational applications and new solutions. We believe in getting the best science into the hands of people solving the ocean's hardest problems.
