Apples and Beans LLC Information

Apples and Beans was founded in 2003 by business partners and childhood friends Megan Stephenson and Rebecca Strang. Based out of Atlanta , GA , our entrepreneurial days actually date back to the early 1990's. During our high school days at The Lovett School in Atlanta , we got our first taste of the business world when we had a little summer fun delivering fresh fruit and vegetables to local Atlanta residents . College days took Megan to the University of Virginia while Rebecca headed off to Vanderbilt University . After returning to Atlanta and entering the business world, we once again began to discuss the possibility of opening another business together. Megan had spent 6 years in television sales and Rebecca had dedicated her time to teaching kindergarten, so we decided to combine our skills and pursue our dream of opening a children's clothing and gift business. After many late nights, countless hours and endless words of wisdom, we are pleased to bring you Apples and Beans. The name is derived from Megan's maiden name, Apple, and Rebecca's childhood nickname, Bean (short for Beanpole). We built Apples and Beans using the input and feedback of our family members and many great friends â€" thank you all for your support. We listened to everyone's thoughts on baby and children's gifts as well as internet shopping in general and tried to combine all these aspects to create a truly pleasurable shopping experience. For instance, the amount of time it takes to shop for, purchase, gift wrap and then mail a baby gift seemed to be an issue for many of our busy friends. Thus Apples and Beans is designed to maximize your time by taking care of all those aspects in one stop.
