Āpōpō is Aotearoa New Zealand's lead association for infrastructure asset management professionals. Formerly known as IPWEA NZ the organisation has a long history originating as the New Zealand Institute of County Engineers in 1948, adapting and growing with the profession over the years. Our members are from central and local government, consultancies, and a wide range of service providers - anyone with a professional interest in any part of the infrastructure asset management life-cycle. All have a passion for the current and future community outcomes, well-being and prosperity delivered by the creation and use of our infrastructure assets. Whether you are a road design engineer, a community engagement specialist, a water services analyst, asset manager, infrastructure accountant, development engineer, planner, asset data analyst, programme designer - or anyone involved in infrastructure assets, Āpōpō is the member organisation for you. We offer professional development, regional networking events, technical resources, knowledge sharing conferences and forums, cross-industry recognition and accolades, and the opportunity to be part of a strong community of professionals!
