Aplia, Inc. is an educational technology company that focuses on providing online interactive learning solutions that engage and prepare students for their courses. All Aplia learning solutions have automatically graded assignments that provide students with detailed explanations for every problem they complete. Aplia currently has learning solutions for several higher education subjects, including accounting, business communication, business statistics, developmental reading, economics, finance, with several other subjects coming in the near future. Aplia also has economics and accounting systems in use at high schools around the country. The company was founded in 2000 by economist and professor Paul Romer, and has grown its user base to include over 950 institutions, 3,400 instructors, and 900,000 students worldwide.
