What if the real limit on AI isn't compute, but heat? Apheros, an ETH Zürich spin-off, builds metal foam cold plates with up to 1000x more surface area than conventional designs, cooling the most powerful chips and scaling with ease. The same structure that pulls heat out of a GPU also pulls more performance out of a green hydrogen electrolyzer. Our metal foam technology powers both, cutting thermal resistance to as low as 0.007 °C/W, a 70% improvement over standard cold plates. Based in Baden, Switzerland, we're proud members of the NVIDIA Inception Programme and were featured in the Swiss Deep Tech Report 2026, launched at VivaTech in Paris. We're a small team solving a problem that's about to get a lot bigger.
