White holds the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and the CRE designation from the Counselors of Real Estate. In addition, he holds certified general appraisal licenses in Delaware, Pennsylvania and Maryland. Jay has held the MAI designation of the Appraisal Institute since 1997. Individuals holding the MAI designation have long been respected for their experience and knowledge of commercial real estate valuation. These members adhere to a strictly enforced Code of Professional Ethics and Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. Since 2007 Jay has been a CRE designated member of the Counselors of Real Estate, which is a professional consulting affiliate of the National Association of Realtors. CREs are the industry's most respected source for professional advice on all types of properties including commercial, industrial, multi-family residential, and special purpose. The CRE designation is awarded to the counselor by his/her peers following an extensive and thorough investigative process, and recognizes the individual's demonstrated judgment, integrity, and experience in real estate matters and unparalleled client service. Jay has over 25 years of commercial, industrial and institutional real estate valuation and advisory experience with local and national firms. He has been an Executive Director of the Transaction Real Estate Group of Ernst & Young, LLC, a Managing Director of Duff & Phelps, LLC's Valuation Services Practice, and an assistant vice president of Mellon Bank's Real Estate Finance and Construction Group. His current firm's services include real estate appraisal, research and market analysis, investment analysis, acquisition and disposition due diligence, litigation support services, appraisal review, loan workout/advisory, and market studies.
