Cinematographer Christopher Landy is the founder of Aperture Pictures and Post, a full service commercial and documentary production company. For nearly 30 years, Christopher has traveled the globe capturing imagery that is inspiring, insightful and thought provoking. His work has taken him from the teeming avenues of New York, to the small dirt tracks of villages in China, Africa and all points in between. Christopher’s roots are deeply planted in photography and lighting, although he has expanded his story-telling skills throughout the years to include editing, compositing, and color grading. His portfolio of work includes feature films, commercials, music videos, documentaries and still photography for clients such as HBO, NFL Films, Frontline, The BBC, The History Channel and Discovery. He served as director of photography for the documentary Saint of 9/11, which premiered at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival and was described as “beautifully photographed” by Variety magazine and a “touching elegy” by The New York Times. Christopher earned a BFA in film production from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and he has provided his talents and vision to a variety of Emmy nominated and award-winning programming.
