APERIS is an pre-seed medical device startup focused on improving quality of life for patients with recurrent pleural effusions. These patients, often with late-stage cancers, currently rely on repeated procedures or external drainage systems to manage fluid buildup in the lungs. APERIS is developing a fully internal, low-maintenance solution that supports long-term fluid management without external hardware or frequent intervention.
