APERION Information

APERION (also written APERION AI) is the runtime governance layer for enterprise AI agents in regulated industries. Smartflow sits inline, on-premises, between an enterprise's agents and the models and tools they call. Every prompt, response, and MCP tool call is inspected and either allowed, blocked, redacted, flagged, or stepped up to a verified human. Every action is bound to a real person or service account, so the record an examiner asks for already exists. The architecture is the Trust Fabric. Four layers: identity proofing at NIST IAL2/AAL2; access governance, which extends the entitlements already in AD, Entra, Okta, and Veza to agents rather than replacing them; runtime governance at every call; and audit and evidence, identity-bound and regulator-ready. No request, prompt, response, or cached artifact ever traverses APERION infrastructure. It is designed to run the control path inside the customer-controlled environment in mainland China, Saudi Arabia, the European Union, the United States, and other regulated markets.
