The purpose of this corporation is to promote the technical education of its members and others on the efficient use of personal computers and related technology The APCU serves both serious beginners and seasoned veterans who need in depth and timely information about the state of the art in hardware and software. Each APCU meeting features the popular Random Access session in which members share tips, tricks and traps they've experienced. Many APCU members are beta testers for new products; others are developers and installers of advanced systems. Yet others, working inside corporate environments, bring experience with installed applications. Meetings are usually held on the last Saturday of each month. After the free-form ("Random Access") discussion, there is a short business meeting. Products demonstrated at APCU meetings must be presented in an informative and technically-based format. Sales-pitch approaches are strongly discouraged.
