Since 1951 the World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT) has been the global body for the profession. Today it represents more than 450,000 physical therapists through its 108 member organisations, and is the international voice for physical therapy.
On behalf of its members, WCPT undertakes a range of projects and supports international campaigns to promote the physical therapy profession and its contribution to global health. It encourages high standards of physical therapy research, education and practice.
Every two years WCPT hosts the profession's largest international scientific congress showcasing the latest advancements in physical therapy. The next WCPT congress will take place in Geneva on 10-13 May 2019. This spectacular event brings together more than 2,000 physical therapists and is not to be missed!
The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) is the national voice for academic nursing education. AACN works to establish quality standards for nursing education; assists schools in implementing those standards; influences the nursing profession to improve health care; and promotes public support for professional nursing education, research, and practice.

Membership: AACN today represents 825 member schools of nursing at public and private universities and senior colleges nationwide. These schools offer a mix of baccalaureate, graduate, and post-graduate programs. The dean or chief nurse administrator serves as the representative to AACN, though the association serves all members of the academic unit.
