Known as one of Southern Africa’s "Most Intriguing Destinations", and voted second runner up in the 2012 AZTA Awards “Zimbabwe’s Best Safari Camp” category, Antelope Park is home to the renowned African Lion & Environmental Research Trust (ALERT). Cooperatively we facilitate the lion rehabilitation & release into the wild program, a multi-phase lion conservation initiative. It is Africa’s first genuine program working to ethically re-introduce the offspring of captive-bred African lions back into the wild. The Park welcomes guests and eco-tourists to our stunning campsite; this 3,000 acre private game park is a haven of tranquillity set in the African bush. Visitors can enjoy the relaxed environment as well as participate in the vast selection of world-class activities offered at the Park, including lion walks, elephant safaris, game viewing, horse-riding, birding (over 120 species!) fishing, and much more... We offer an array of en-suite lodges and river tents, campsites and beautiful self-catering lodges; accommodation is available to suit all needs and budgets. To further complement the experience, safari-style, home cooked meals are available. Our lion program was the subject of major UK TV wildlife documentary “LION COUNTRY” and the Park has also featured in a number of other wildlife shows including “Karina: Wild on Safari”. In 2013 Animal Planet will feature “Roaring with Pride” a 14 part documentary detailing the lion release program.
