Antares Reinsurance Company Limited (Antares Re or the Company) is a subsidiary of Qatar Insurance Company (QIC, QIC Group or the Group) which operates from our headquarters in Bermuda with branch offices in Zurich and London. GLOBAL MULTI-LINE REINSURER Antares Re, licensed as a Class 4 insurer by the Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA), is a global multi-line reinsurer writing all major property, casualty and specialty lines of business. Backed by a strong and growing capital base, Antares Re focuses on the development of a balanced portfolio, which reflects our position as risk underwriters rather than risk traders and supports the long-term sustainability of our business. FOCUS ON REDUCED VOLATILITY AND ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT We seek to reduce volatility by balancing our traditional ‘specialty’ business with a portfolio of structured reinsurance, providing capital relief and growth financing for carefully selected clients and affiliates, including our subsidiaries QIC Europe Limited, West Bay Insurance Plc and Markerstudy Insurance Company Limited. These recent Malta and Gibraltar-based acquisitions have led us to become a key player in the UK Motor insurance market and provide greater access to direct business that has historically not found its way to reinsurers.
