The Wyandotte Junior Chamber (Jaycees) gives young adults the tools they need to build the bridges of success for themselves in the areas of business development, management skills, individual training, community service and international connections. Established to provide opportunities for young men to develop personal and leadership skills through service to others, the Jaycees later expanded to include women, reflecting the growing influence and leadership of women in America. Jaycees have been a force for good in America and around the world. Jaycees helped establish Airmail services in America with Jaycee Charles Lindbergh, and have raised millions of dollars for causes such as the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, and for catastrophe relief efforts. They have built parks, playgrounds, hospitals, ball fields, and housing for the elderly while conducting service and support programs in thousands of communities nationwide.

The Redford Jaycees provides young people ages 21-40 the opportunity to develop personal and leadership skills through local community service and organizational involvement. So what is JCI Santa Clarita? We are part of Junior Chamber International (JCI). JCI is a nonprofit organization of young active citizens between the ages 18 to 40 who are actively engaged and committed to creating positive impacts in their communities. We develop the skills, knowledge and understanding to make informed decisions and take action. As globally minded young people, we all have rights, responsibilities and share goals. We find targeted solutions to local issues benefiting our communities, our world and our future. Embracing new ideas, collaboration and diversity, we have the passion and courage to address the critical challenges of our time. Locally in Santa Clarita, we assist and support many events in Santa Clarita, such as Taste of the Town, Evening under the Stars, Relay for Life, Valencia Jazz & Blues, as well as own annual events - SCV's 40 Under Forty and Santa’s Helpers. We believe that by serving our local community not only can we help create positive change but we can empower young people to take the next step in their personal and professional lives whether that’s a promotion at work, starting their own business or further develop on their strengths, skills and abilities.
