ANIDA Information

ANIDA is a Christian international development organization working with communities to strengthen education, health and food access, sustainable income, and local leadership. Since 1997, we have worked through long-term relationships with community organizations, schools, health institutions, local leaders, and families. Our programs and partnerships currently span Canada, Ghana, Liberia, Jamaica, and the Philippines. We are also developing a health partnership in Aweil, South Sudan. Our work starts with listening. Local partners help identify priorities, shape programs, and determine what progress should look like in their context. ANIDA contributes resources, coordination, relationships, and program support while strengthening the people and institutions closest to the work. We take an integrated approach because the challenges affecting children and families are often connected. Education, health, food access, income, and leadership cannot always be addressed separately. Our programs bring these areas together according to local priorities rather than applying the same solution in every community. We also monitor results, learn with our partners, and adjust when an approach is not working as intended. The purpose is not to make communities permanently dependent on ANIDA. It is to support stronger local leadership, institutions, and ownership over time. Our Christian faith shapes how we serve through dignity, integrity, stewardship, and love. We work with people of every faith and background without discrimination. ANIDA is accredited through Imagine Canada’s Standards Program, reflecting our commitment to strong governance, financial accountability, ethical fundraising, and responsible organizational practices.
