Amros Corporation is an oil and gas service company providing formation evaluation and optimization of field development for shale plays, based on the proprietary innovative technology. Amros is the only company today that is capable of identifying locations of movable hydrocarbons in shale. Amros Corporation has developed a technology for shale plays that uses standard open-hole log data to calculate Production Profile that shows productivity along entire well in barrels per day. It shows operators where to frack vertical wells and where to drill and frack horizontal wells. Production Profile for a group of vertical wells provides enough data for building 3D models showing recoverable hydrocarbons. This is key information for optimizing field development. The analysis of production profiles in more than 100 wells in Permian Basin shows that 80% of the thickness of production zones produce 12 times less than the remaining 20%. By separating the low and high producing formations the technology allows operators to avoid drilling of 80% of low producing horizontal wells and drill only horizontal wells with top production. For example, instead of one horizontal well with initial production 120 bbl./day, an operator with the data from Amros technology can drill at the same location two horizontal wells with the total initial production 1,300 bbl./day. This increases the initial production almost up to 1000% and at least doubles the recovery efficiency. In addition the operators can reduce the number of fracking stages and the amount of water and proppant utilized in the fracking process. For vertical wells, the production profile allows operators to decrease the cost of fracking by at least 50% while increasing productivity by at least 25%.
