Our founder, Anna Funk, Ph.D., worked as a field ecologist, academic researcher, newspaper reporter, magazine editor, SEO copywriter, and content marketer before she figured out what she wanted to do. All along the way, she met countless folks in conservation science and practice who were doing incredible work — but struggling to get their message out. After three years of building strategic plans and content calendars for organizations while wearing different hats as a freelancer, she decided it was time to make the business official. She launched Ampliflora in 2024 as a platform to share her expertise at the intersection of ecology, storytelling, and marketing to help organizations expand their audiences and increase their impact.
