Amplification Technologies Information

Amplification Technologies (ATI) has developed a technology that has the potential to transform the field of low-level signal detection. Many existing low-level detector applications are still using tube technology from the 1940’s. No one has been able to develop a solid state device that can compete with existing tube capabilities. ATI’s unique patented semiconductor technology is capable of detecting the lowest possible level of signal, such as a single photon, a single electron, a single specific molecule, etc. In addition, this technology could be used to create a high resolution digital image of low light signals by using an array of sensors. This capability, when included in night vision systems, would be a giant leap forward compared to the grainy images that exist today. Our sensor technology has been successfully implemented in photo-detectors that are suitable for light detection and ranging (LIDAR), and for important imaging applications such as night vision in the near infrared. This technology offers a unique combination of performance and parameters that has not been paralleled by any other competing technologies. ATI’s technology can also potentially be used to create highly sensitive biological, radiological, electrical, and chemical sensors, and our patents cover very broad areas of detection and amplification.
