Energex began operations in 1993 when we obtained our Lac-Mégantic, QC facility from Shell Oil Company. Shell Oil built the plant in 1981, making it one of the oldest wood pellet facilities in North America. We still produce quality wood pellet products at Lac-Mégantic today, and recent renovations made us even more efficient. Our Quebec softwood pellet plant makes our Premium Softwood Blend and Premium 100% Softwood pellets. You can count on the Lac-Mégantic pellet plant to provide only the best softwood pellets. Seven years into our business operations, we realized we needed to expand to the mid-Atlantic, United States. In 2000, we merged a West Virginia pellet plant into a Mifflintown, Pennsylvania, plant, which acts as our hardwood pellet plant and now corporate headquarters. The Hardwood Premium, Hardwood Super Premium, and Ol’ Hick Cooking Pellets all come from our Mifflintown facility. Our convenient location in the center of the state lets us deliver pellets in bulk to most areas of Pennsylvania. In 2017, Energex expanded its product line to the BBQ world, with the launch of Ol' Hick Cooking Pellets. Wanting to produce a premium brand, Ol' Hick produced a 100% Hickory, followed by a 100% Applewood BBQ pellet. In 2019, Energex-Ol' Hick partnered with the World's #1 Bourbon producer to make Jim Beam Bourbon Barrel Cooking Pellets made from Genuine Jim Beam Bourbon Barrels.

Regen Power was established in 2003 and is renowned for both innovation in the field of renewable energy in Australia. Regen provides a wide range of products for solar energy systems including solar panels, inverters, charge controllers, and wind turbines for both urban electricity grids and remote area off grid PV market systems at very competitive rates.To date, Regen has installed and maintains over 9000 residential rooftop Solar PV systems in Australia. Regen’s expertise in the field of remote area renewable energy electrification has been drawn from various research activities and publications of our director Prof Chem Nayar (over 30 years of vast experience in this field) and Regen Power Intellectual Property (IP), which includes US Patent titled ‘Power conversion system and method of converting power’ (US Patent Number - 7,072,194 granted in 2006), “ A Power Management System and Method for optimising fuel consumption, (PCT/AU2011/001068) and “ Variable Speed Gas Turbine Generation System and Method” ( patent pending).
