Amos Gazit Ltd was established in 1958 upon Amos Gazit`s release from the military service. His brother Yehuda Gazit, RIP, who was the first safety and hazardous materials officer in the science corps introduced his younger brother to the field of personal protection equipment - an almost new field in Israel and guided Amos in the nuances of the safety world. Later in 1977, Yehuda joined the company as a partner. Unlike most companies at that time, Amos did not try to sell competitive equipment, Instead, he traveled the country and met with the professionals in the field, understood their difficulties and the complicated aspects of industrial safety. This process gave birth to a corporate culture that portrays Amos Gazit Ltd as a pioneer in the continuous search for newer, safer and more user friendly solutions. Amos Gazit costumers became accustomed not to request a specific product, but to share their difficulties while performing their task, An Israeli company emerged that saw innovation and quality of advanced solutions as its goal. Amos Gazit is now retired from managing his company. Two out of his three children, Oded Gazit and Einat Gazit–Shalev manage the company and remain committed to the vision and values of the man who started it all so many years ago.
