The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) was founded on 25th of May 1981 following a historical meeting (in Abu Dhabi) of Their Majesties and Highnesses, the heads of states of the United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Bahrain, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sultanate of Oman, State of Qatar and State of Kuwait.
