AMI was founded in Belgium in the year 1919 and has continued to grow into a full-fledged logistics organization ever since, cementing its place as a successful leader in the freight forwarding and transport industry. In the year 2000, AMI underwent a management buyout and was re-established with a new strategy based in Dubai, UAE maintaining offices in China and Africa. Dubai being a center of the world and having ease of travel to the Africa region, AMI re-opened offices across Africa under IMA. Today, all the African offices have been re-branded to AMI Africa, focussing on its core strength, ‘The African Market’. With the takeover of MANICA (South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Zambia), we have justified our firm position and strategic decision to be the key player in the African logistics and freight forwarding field. With a local footprint in 14 countries and 50 offices worldwide, we make our collective knowledge, expertise and global network available to our clients. AMI covers total logistics needs of customers by providing Freight Transport, Warehousing and Distribution, Project Management, Storage and other value-added services.
