GENERAL INFORMATION Founded in 2006 in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam, American International School Vietnam (AISVN) is a private, coeducational, university-preparatory school for students from Early Years to Grade 12. The language of instruction is English. The school offers the three International Baccalaureate (IB) programs of Primary Years Program (PYP), Middle Years Program (MYP) and the Diploma Program (DP). This international and innovative curriculum is complemented by Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Music and Sport programs. AISVN aims to prepare students for excellent universities in the US and around the world. ACCREDITATION & AUTHORIZATION AISVN is recognized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training as an international school with English as the language of instruction. Our school (Early Years-Grade 12) is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), one of six US-based accrediting agencies. AISVN is a member school of the East Asia Regional Council of Schools (EARCOS), an organization of 170 member schools in East Asia founded in 1968. Our Head of School, Mr. Barry Sutherland serves as a member of the EARCOS Board of Trustees. AISVN is fully authorized as an IB World School since 2010 for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme. AISVN is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Middle Years Programme (MYP).
