American Exploration Company "(AEC") is a privately owned energy company with interests in both traditional oil and gas and biogas production. Started in 1996 as an independent oil and gas producing company, AEC has evolved over the years into a multi-faceted energy company providing oil-field construction services to many clients in the Appalachian Basin in addition to operating its various interests in producing properties. In 2010, AEC sold its significant acreage position in the Marcellus Shale to a major Marcellus Shale developer in order to capitalize its growing oil-field construction business. Upon completion of this transaction, AEC executed Master Service Agreements with a number of parties to provide a full range of oil-field related construction services to the Marcellus Shale industry.
