AMC Engineering Ltd Information

AMC Engineering was established in 1988 for the sole purpose to design and manufacture Torque equipment for the Oil and Gas industry. We are recognised worldwide for manufacturing bespoke equipment to our customer's specification. After being employed by AMC since 1994, Andrew Polson became Managing Director of the company in 2004 and immediately implemented a 10 year plan of growth for the company which included erecting purpose built units on our Findon and Caithness sites which includes Fabrication workshop, Assembly workshop, Coating department and a fully equipped Control systems department to ensure we are self sufficient in today's demanding market. The development of the workshops was completed in 2009 with an office complex due for completion in 2011. The Control systems department designed and manufactured our first Torque Control System in-house in 2007 and now fit them to every Torque Unit that requires data acquisition. In addition, we have successfully installed our Torque Control System to non-AMC units. In 2009, AMC opened two new divisions to compliment our world recognised products which are our Rentals division to make our Torque equipment available to our customers on a non-permanent basis and our Hydraulics supply division which distributes for some of the major manufacturers in the hydraulics market. AMC's reputation has grown over the years by constantly exceeding the ever increasing demands of the industry which influenced our decision to design and manufacture Torque Units that accommodates tubulars up to 48" and torques up to 250,000 ft lbs. Due to our success, we have had to steadily increase our staff levels to over 70 to help us achieve our increased sales from £1 million to £15 million within 4 years. Our team of dedicated field engineers travel worldwide to install, train, inspect, overhaul and calibrate our own and non-AMC units, with full reports sent to the customer on completion.
