AmbientalIST is an autonomous section of of IST's Student Association. It was created with the purpose of raising awareness among students and the IST community for climate change and the environmental problems associated with it. All AmbientalIST members and collaborators believe that there is a lot to do in order to reach a society that prioritises environmental sustainability, but we are willing to do whatever they can to help build it and promote system changes in their local community. For years the planet called out to us, feared for us, asked us to listen to it and to synchronise with it. Today, it’s no longer a request, but a necessity, a mission. Starting with our university, Instituto Superior Técnico, we are looking to promote the adoption of responsible behaviours and sustainable habits that protect the future of humanity and of our planet.
