Amar u.s. Information

For over two decades AMAR has been rebuilding lives among the most vulnerable populations in the Middle East by creating and sustaining professional services in medicine, public health, education, skills straining, human rights and basic need provision. AMAR U.S. is the American affiliate of the AMAR International Charitable Foundation, a UK-based organization which has been working since 1991 to deliver services on a sustained and lasting basis to underserved populations, refugees and internally displaced persons in the Middle East. Today AMAR delivers services and training to over half a million Iraqis and Lebanese, as well as emergency assistance to Syrian refugees. Since 2010, AMAR U.S. has specialized in basic need provision and community-based programs to combat gender based violence, improve infant and maternal health, and promote education and economic empowerment.
