Specializing in diamonds and fine coloured gemstones, Alyea’s designers & gemologists have been honoured with many accolades including the coveted DeBeers Diamond International Award. With Ottawa’s first Accredited Gemological Laboratory and over 40 years’ membership in the American Gem Society (AGS), Alyea’s has demonstrated an in depth understanding of gemology and business integrity of international repute. Robert Alyea has travelled to the far corners of the globe to collect the finest of gemstones and mineral specimens. Our in-store displays explain the origin of most gemstones and connect the fashioned gem with the original rough mineral. Canadian diamonds and coloured gems are fashioned by our designer/goldsmiths into exquisite jewellery in gold or platinum.
