AltruShare Securities is the first non-profit owned brokerage firm and the first brokerage firm dedicated to investments with positive financial and societal returns. Since 2006, AltruShare has published research and convened mainstream institutional investors on investments with positive financial and social impact. AltruShare is majority owned by the AltruShare Opportunity Funds at Tides and Underdog Foundations. These donor-advised funds grant and re-invest AltruShare's profits to support education and economic opportunity in the states where the firm conducts business. AltruShare publishes research and financial analysis of investments with market-rate returns and positive social impact. Our philosophy of impact investing is that more financial analysis of actual investment opportunities is necessary for the field of impact investing to move into the mainstream.
