ASB is made up of 15 individuals with different strengths and skills, but one trait we share is that we are all open-minded. We are curious to learn new things and to hear others' opinions. We value teamwork, and we are constantly learning from each other. I am grateful to be with a group of people who share this quality, because it creates a healthy environment for learning and personal growth to take place. Working as a team successfully requires open communication, learning to compromise and trusting and encouraging each other. It is so special and rewarding to grow as part of a team. Independence is important, however, it is easy to become so focused on our own lives and concerns that we forget about how much we can affect others. ASB members came together as individuals wanting to travel with a purpose. We've been working hard to raise money to make the trip possible. Now, with this time we've spent as a group, we look to each other and gain confidence. I care deeply about every member of this team and I am just as excited to see how each of them grows on this journey as I am to see how I grow personally. ASB is made up of 15 members who share many characteristics that inspire me every day. I've included our roll call list for ASB Team Kenya 2013, and I have added one characteristic that has had the most impact on me for each member: 1- Moja - Francesca - Conscientious 2- Mbili - Christina - Leadership 3- Tatu - Humza - Patience 4- Nne - ...
