MAXAM Australia specialises in the supply of explosives and associated services to the mining, quarrying and civil construction industries. MAXAM is the third largest full line global explosives manufacturer and has the second largest global footprint, assuring its customers widespread explosives and blasting services access. The Australian operations head office is located in Brisbane, Queensland with extensive distribution and storage centres nationwide. With over 20 years of operations in Australia, MAXAM is continuing to grow in the mining and quarrying industries with an unrivalled reputation for product quality and customer centred service solutions. MAXAM Australia is wholly owned and supported by MAXAM Corp in Spain, which has been developing, manufacturing and supplying explosives for more than 140 years. MAXAM Australia has extensive distribution and storage centres nationwide supported by a head office which is located in Brisbane, Queensland. MAXAM operates regional bulk explosives manufacturing facilities in Baldivis (Western Australia) and Bajool (Queensland) with contractual arrangements for sourcing Ammonium Nitrate (AN) from both domestic and international supply points. The Baldivis plant additionally produces MAXAM’s respected non electric initiating systems, which are used both domestically and exported throughout the Pacific region. MAXAM operates a state-of-the-art engineering workshop facility located in Brisbane for upgrading and building fleet equipment to ensure continued innovation development. This facility is a support hub for the Mobile Sensitizing Unit (MSU) fleet.
