Almende is an innovative research company with a diverse and ambitious staff of researchers, developers and office support. We are engaged in research and technological development in the field of self-organization and multi-agent systems. Our work mainly revolves around the following question: how can innovative communication technology be used to facilitate and improve human organization? Self-organization isn't something we only practice in our projects, but also on the work floor. Keywords are trust and freedom to organize your own meetings and activities. We offer a lot of feedback and a personal budget for literature and education possibilities, so employees may best express their talents and creativity. We are proud of our informal, "non-political" working atmosphere and invest in an office with respect for eachother, the environment and cultural diversity. Most employees have lunch together, we serve the best coffee in town, there's table football, chess and billiards and we regularly have LAN-parties and informal get-togethers.
