Almathera: Kazakhstan’s First Private Radiopharmacy and Theranostics Complex Almaty, Kazakhstan — Almathera is set to become the first private radiopharmacy and theranostics complex in Kazakhstan, strategically located in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) “Park of Innovation Technologies”. Positioned in the heart of Central Asia, Almathera is poised to become a regional hub for theranostics, supplying GMP EU-compliant radiopharmaceuticals globally. With key destinations such as Beijing, Dubai, Central Europe, and Moscow just a 4-5-hour flight away, the project offers unparalleled access to critical markets. The Almathera site, currently under development, will be a state-of-the-art facility serving as both a production and research and development (R&D) hub. The project's launch is anticipated for Q4 2026, with the collaboration with IBA (Ion Beam Applications S.A.), a global leader in cyclotron technology, marking a significant milestone. IBA will supply the KIUBE300 cyclotron, equipped with a Beamline, which will enable cutting-edge R&D and the production of metallic isotopes – an essential component for future theranostics applications.
