Allied World Healthcare (AWH) is a social enterprise working to bring universal basic healthcare services to users in low-access, developing regions. To do this, Allied World Healthcare is: - Building a local delivery community who donate time and assets, to manage costs sustainably and create a global team of organisations to tackle healthcare inequality; - Creating a healthcare platform that is free at the point of use, providing information, education, self-management options and digital appointments, alongside clinician tools to support them; - Creating a community access model to enable non-digital access (computers in schools, shops, churches and other community areas; employing ‘Access Managers’ in disconnected communities) – working from ‘Access Stations’; - Delivering a support package for local healthcare providers, clinicians and health workers; alongside a range o partner products and services. We work throughout South East Asia with plans to expand in the region with a strong network of established partnerships with global organisations. At the heart of our model is digital technology built for emerging markets environments. Current products include: - Curis, for community healthcare access, information, education, patient support, reminders and appointment booking – built for offline working; - MediConnect, for health worker education, training courses, forums and chat; - Pica, a marketplace of partner products that can be chosen and paid for (spanning insurance, pharmaceutical products etc) - DisperGo, for last-mile distribution of products and services; - IDIAH, collecting and aggregating data across the abovementioned platforms
