Allen Food Service Information

Allen Food Service is a mid-sized, but continually growing, food service provider. The company was started over 50 years ago as Allen Beef Company, located on Allen Street, hence the name. Since 1969, we have been located at Calihan Park. The original owners, Anthony Scardato and John Bonadonna, sold the company to Paul DeCaro and his partners in 1986. While a partner in Skip's Meat Market, Paul expanded his knowledge of the meat industry to become more competitive in wholesale meat distribution. With his intellect and perseverance, Paul helped change the company over the past 20 years. His wife, Karen worked by his side through most of those 20 years and she became sole owner of the company in 2003 after Paul suddenly passed away in March of 2002. Karen comments that "Paul's work ethic is always with us." With the help of a great management team, Allen Food Service continues to broaden its service to the Rochester, NY and surrounding areas by providing quality product, personal service and competitive pricing. Allen Food Service is proud to service many area restaurants, large and small, and institutions, including nursing homes, hospitals and schools. We stress personal customer service and complete satisfaction. The name was changed from Allen Beef to Allen Food Service so the public would realize that we offer more than "just beef". We carry a wide variety of fresh meats, poultry, pork, lamb, veal and seafood along with an extensive selection of frozen foods and dry goods.
