Placing an elderly loved one into care and accommodation is one of the most difficult tasks that a family has to deal with. Since 2002, Aged Care Connect has been helping families select the best option available and can assisd with the negotiation of accommodation bonds. When you are an Aged Care Connect client we will • Provide totally independent and unbiased advice about high care, low care, dementia specific, assisted living and supported aged care alternatives. • Explain the strengths and features of chosen facilities so that you can make valid comparisons and more informed decisions. • Match the right care and accommodation to your family needs including care level, location preferences, financial situation and social aspects. • Arrange tours of short-listed facilities, including transport if needed. • Complete the Request for Asset Assessment to Centrelink or DVA. • Complete and lodge placement application paperwork. • Monitor and receive fast notification and response to vacancies. • Negotiate the accommodation bond and related care fees to achieve the optimal financial arrangement for your family. • Provide a qualified travel nurse for interstate moves. • Provide emotional support during the settling in period.
