Algae Health Sciences, Inc. (AlgaeHealth) is a subsidiary of BGG, a global leader in clinically-supported natural ingredients for the dietary supplement, cosmetics, and food & beverage industries. AlgaeHealth was created to focus exclusively on efficacious raw materials sourced from micro- and macro-algae species. BGG has been operating for over twenty years and has amassed a distinct following among the largest, market-leading supplement brands in Japan, USA and Europe. Our highest volume customers are generally discerning brands that do regular on-site audits and require the utmost in quality and the best customer service. We have extensive in-house labs and maintain many different quality certifications. We have warehouse and office facilities in Tokyo, California, Switzerland and Beijing to serve customers in our largest markets timely and efficiently. AlgaeHealth utilizes many aspects of the BGG staff and facilities, particularly in the areas of quality & regulatory as well as research & development. AlgaeHealth’s first product is AstaZine® Natural Astaxanthin from Haematococcus pluvialis microalgae which we have been producing since 2006. In 2013, after mastering the art of Haematococcus production, we expanded our Astaxanthin farm and now have the second largest Natural Astaxanthin capacity in the world. In 2016 we launched the world’s first (and only) Certified Organic Astaxanthin product, our 5% Natural Astaxanthin powder, after obtaining certification from Ecocert, a French-based leading organic certifier. In 2016, we initiated our first human clinical trial on AstaZine® and have budgeted to do a minimum of one to two clinical studies each year moving forward.
