We are a change management consultancy that thinks and works with the public sector and provides professional services based around organisational transformation, service design and continuous improvement. Our guiding principle is that we let the problem define the solution. We first aim to fully understand the whole problem, not just the problem or the symptom presented. We then think and work with you to design and deliver a sustainable solution. Alexander was incorporated as a limited company in February 2003 from a merger of two companies. Together the board of directors recognised that under the modernisation of public services there would be a growing need for private-sector approaches to be adopted to support change. Alexander now works nationally with many public-sector organisations undergoing transformation. Alexander people are business people who are passionate about public services. We take what’s good from the private sector and shape it to meet the demands and challenges of public service. So when we look at the world and see what’s wrong, our instinct is not to complain about it; it’s to do something about it. This means that, when we look at our own company, we don’t just look at its performance as a business; we look at the difference we make to changing public services and society for the better.
