Alectric Studios Inc. has been developing mobile apps since 2009, when the App Store was still in its infancy. To date our apps have been downloaded and used by over 750,000 people worldwide. In addition to developing our own products, we offer services to entrepreneurs and businesses, and provide our expertise in mobile app strategy, user interface & user experience design, project management, software development, mobile marketing, and app portfolio maintenance. The name “Alectric” was envisioned by founder, Alec Morgana, many years ago when his father was in pursuit of an ice cream store franchise. Alec wanted to invent his own ice cream flavour containing popping candies, so that while eating it you could imagine that it was electrocuting you. He wanted to call it “Electric Shock”, but change the “E” to an “A” so that it spelled his name. Although the store never came to fruition, the story and name lives on.
